Please read these terms & conditions carefully before ordering any artwork from Branca Cuvier. You should understand that by ordering any of Branca Cuvier artwork, you agree to be bound by these terms & conditions.

Branca Cuvier is a trading name for Francisco Nogueira & Branca Cuvier Lda, a Portuguese company registered in Lisbon Commercial Company Register (Registo Comercial de Lisboa), under registration and VAT number PT513821791, with registered address in Rua da Junqueira 484, 2º direito, 1300-341 Lisbon, Portugal.

Branca Cuvier reserves the right to amend any information, including but not limited to prices, technical specifications, terms of purchase and artwork offerings without prior notice. At the event of when an artwork is sold out, Branca Cuvier has the right to cancel the order and refund any amount paid in the best way. Branca Cuvier shall also notify the customer of equivalent replacement artworks if available.

All personal information you provide Branca Cuvier with or that we obtain will be handled by Branca Cuvier as responsible for the personal information. The personal information you provide will be used to ensure deliveries to you, the credit assessment, to provide offers and information on Branca Cuvier’s catalog to you. The information you provide is only available to Branca Cuvier and will not be shared with other third parties. You have the right to inspect the information held about you. You always have the right to request Branca Cuvier to delete or correct the information held about you. By accepting the Branca Cuvier Conditions, you agree to the above.

Events outside Branca Cuvier’s control, which is not reasonably foreseeable, shall be considered force majeure, meaning that Branca Cuvier is released from Branca Cuvier’s obligations to fulfill contractual agreements. Example of such events are government action or omission, new or amended legislation, conflict, embargo, fire or flood, sabotage, accident, war, natural disasters, strikes or lack of delivery from suppliers. The force majeure also includes government decisions that affect the market negatively and products, for example, restrictions, warnings, ban, etc.

All artworks remain Branca Cuvier’s property until full payment is made. The price applicable is that set at the date on which you place your order. Shipping costs and payment fees are recognized before confirming the purchase. If you are under 18 years old you must have parents’ permission to buy from Branca Cuvier.

All transfers conducted through Branca Cuvier are handled and transacted through third party dedicated gateways to guarantee your protection. Please read the terms & conditions for the payment gateway choosen for the transaction as they are responsible for the transactions made. Card information is transmitted over secure SSL encryption and is not stored

Please note that local charges (sales tax, customs duty) may occur, depending on your region and local customs duties. These charges are at the customers own expense.

 

Shipping & Delivery

  • By ordering any of Branca Cuvier artwork, you agree to be bound by shipping & delivery rules of this site.

  • Both domestic and international orders are shipped within 2 to 10 business days unless otherwise specified.

  • All artworks are shipped either in protected package or tube depending on the size and format.

  • All custom fees & taxes for non-EU orders are the responsibility of the customer.

  • In case of foreseen delays of shipment, the customer always receives a notification email.

  • In rare cases of factors outside of our control (e.g. customs in receiving country), the delivery might take longer than expected.

Return Policy

It is appropriate that the consumer controls the delivery to verify that this is accurate and error free. At the complaint, the customer contacts Branca Cuvier and gives information relevant and the reason for complaint. Please note that, the arbitrary reasons to return or replacement of an item(s) can be rejected by Branca Cuvier. The return policy is executed only if the item(s) received are not in mint condition, otherwise it is agreed between both parties.   

Return Conditions

You can return the artwork within 14 days of delivery. The artwork must be in new condition if your reason of return is rather than damaged delivery. If the artwork is ruined or used, the artwork shall not be refunded. Make sure to include contact information with the return and if possible, please provide us with a tracking number. Branca Cuvier suggests you get a receipt and a package ID for the return from the delivery service, as it makes it easier to follow the return shipment if needed.

Branca Cuvier will make a refund of eligible returns. If you paid by invoice, we will need a bank account number to transfer the money back to. The easiest way is to e-mail it to us along with a brief description of your case.

Please remember that all transaction fees and extra shipping fees during refund is in responsibility of the customer.

Returning A Package

Branca Cuvier is NOT responsible for any return customs charges made. Any charges incurred are the responsibility of the customer.

Transport Damage

If the product is lost or you, upon receiving, notice that the item has been damaged during transport, you should immediately report this to Branca Cuvier.

Unclaimed Packages

For packages that are not cashed at your post office within 14 days, Branca Cuvier reserves the right to charge you a handling fee to cover return shipping and freight companies’ administrative costs.

Cookies

Branca Cuvier uses cookies according to the new Electronic Communications Act, which came into force on 25 July 2003. A cookie is a small text file stored on your computer that contains information that helps the website to identify and track the visitor. Cookies do no harm to your computer, consist only of text, can not contain viruses and occupies virtually no space on your hard drive. There are two types of cookies: “Session Cookies” and cookies that are saved permanently on your computer.

The first type of cookie commonly used is “Session Cookies”. During the time you visit the website, our web server assigns your browser a unique identifier string so as not to confuse you with other visitors. A “Session Cookie” is never stored permanently on your computer and disappears when you close your browser. To use Branca Cuvier without troubles you need to have cookies enabled.

The second type of cookie saves a file permanently on your computer. This type of cookie is used to track how visitors move around on the website. This is only used to offer visitors better services and support. The text files can be deleted. On Branca Cuvier we use this type of cookie to keep track of your shopping cart and to keep statistics of our visitors. The information stored on your computer is only a unique number, without any connection to personal information.
