Branca Cuvier opens her studio to the public twice a year at Jiboia Studio in Lisbon — a direct and unfiltered encounter between the work and whoever walks through the door.

Now in its eleventh edition, the open studio has become a recurring structure rather than a one-off event. Works in progress are shown alongside finished pieces, in the space where they were made, without the mediation of a gallery context. The scale ranges from intimate formats to large paintings, alongside prints.

It began as a way of creating direct contact between the work and its audience, and that intention has remained constant across every edition.
